She’s Leaving Home…

Pulling away from the driveway to go to the airport, it was hard not to be emotional. We have been in that house for 25 years and it is the home that we created to raise Selena in. Still feels a bit surreal that we don’t know when or if we will all be back there together at once. In typical Pugh fashion we were running a bit late so there was not a lot of time to overthink the heaviness of the situation and the magnitude of emotion surrounding the event. Or maybe even the significance of this. If you split your life into chapters or sections of a book this is undoubtedly the ending of a major section. Every ending gives way to new beginnings but the way the story unfolds from here has a lot more uncertainty. I am just starting into the third quarter century of my life. The second one was all based around home in Colorado, growing a career and then an individual. Although I hope to see well past 75 years of age, this is the denouement part of the trilogy.  I am not meaning to be depressing or dark as this could be one of the most exciting and dynamic sections! Stay tuned.
